I always shoot in Raw, so that's been converted to JPEG with DxO Optics Pro, with default NR. I shot that about 3-years ago. Since then, DxO has added PRIME NR to their Raw conversion program. PRIME does a pixel-by-pixel NR that does not crush detail. If I ran that image through PRIME, you wouldn't see the noise on the right hand.
If I get a little time, I'll reprocess that with PRIME NR to see how it changes.
