I drove mine through this past winter, though I do have a 2004 Trailblazer for "emergencies". I had an old set of rims from my wife's e93 that I put snow tires on - the offset makes them a little wider in the back, but not bad.
Car drove fine, though I was never on the road in more than a couple inches of snow.
