I still think Tressel was at a B level. After all he did lose 2 NCGs to SEC teams, though he did beat a top 10 SEC team in 2011. The reality is, Tressel was only a regional recruiter. My theory is that he was so successful recruiting Big Ten regions that it was actually detrimental to the conference's overall strength as all the talent was pooled up in 1 school.
Meyer took it to a different level. He is a national recruiter, and he has consistently put Ohio State in the top 4 in recruiting and performance every year.
