Considering New Tires...which ones?
So I'm considering new tires for the (07 sedan, sport package) BMW...since I currently have a mismatched set on there (bought it less than a week ago), with some off brand fronts, and Bridgestone re050 RFT's on the rear (decent tread). Here are what I'm thinking as possible choices, in no particular order:
-Bridgestone s-04 pole position
-Nitto Invo
-Michelin Pilot Super Sport
-Continental Extremecontact DW
Sizes will be 235/40/18 front, and 265/35/18 rear, mounted on the stock wheels.
Does anyone have first hand experience with any of these? I was originally thinking RS3's, but decided I should go with something rated for a little more miles, since this is my daily driver.
Another option is to buy a set of front re050's (very low treadwear rating though) and just leave on the rears, although, the rear tires are currently narrower than OE, at a 245.
Thoughts?
