The limiting factor for stopping distance on all modern cars is the tire. The CCBs cannot stop shorter under normal circumstances, but they do have better fade resistance when tracking. Removing about 50lbs of rotational mass (combined) has more benefit in acceleration and the suspension's ability to control wheel motion than say taking 50lbs off the body panels, but in everyday driving it's hardly significant.

Without doubt CCBs last longer and produce less dust. As far as value, that's a personal judgement call. I'm sticking with the steels.
