The pan is that part you pulled up on Amazon. Quite literally, it is the auto transmission fluid pan. Same as the oil pan, just obviously a different fluid serving a different part of the car. The gasket that lines it cracks and hardens over time, hence the need to replace the entire pan. Personally, I don’t think people care for the AT as well as they should. I think it’s loony to go 100K without doing anything in terms of upkeep. If you are bone stock then I guess it’s different in terms of the heat you are putting through it…but regardless. Service it!
