I'll be honest, like you I come from a long list of previous BMWs and it took me a while to realize that everything is different in this one even though things were familiar. The times I thought my car was not acting right, it was me just expecting it to act like the others...and it doesn't.

The tablet app "BMW drivers guide" was my best friend for a month.

Good luck and enjoy. I hope this fixes it for you.
Thanks wrickem- that did the trick. Whew.

Agreed that everything is a little different, I will never forgive BMW for getting rid of the red/blue temperature wheel or burying the temperature “sync“ button deep in menus (with no shortcuts possible, to make it even worse).
Glad it worked out.

The red/blue wheel is still there, it's just buried now in the menu. Car>settings>climate control> heating/ventilation>driver or passenger >temp adjustment -there's your red/blue. (Or just say "BMW open temperature adjustment")

I find myself using voice controls for most things like that now, it works so much better than Voice ever did. As soon as I drop off my passengers, I say "Villenille, (I changed her name) sync temperature" and it's all the same again.
