Just being reading up on the introduction of the 0W-20 and its for the new B engines and the N20 so, yes, it is listed as approved for your car. Whether or not id want to switch if it had been broken in and running fine on 5W-30 is another matter. Their motivation seems to be marginally better fuel economy and not sure how a slightly thinner oil would effect engine component temperatures in hotter climates. If BMW say its good though
