Best thing to do is wait for a software recall which always happens and you will get a free update. Got one on my 2007 E93 and our 2013 X1. There's not enough changes in one year to really even need an update yearly. I didn't get the Nav on the M235 because there's so many cheaper options that work as well that cost 10% of the cost.
