Upon popping the hood of the F80 M3 you are immediately drawn to the intricacies of the S55 power plant. In a effort to bring a little more color into the bay we now offer a painted vanity cover. This piece is a OEM BMW part that is painted in-house at our 12,000 sqft. paint and body shop. Available in all standard F8X M3/M4 colors, we are also able to accommodate custom color/scheme requests. Below is an install of a motorsport themed S55 vanity cover.

STEP 1:

After opening the hood the first step is to simply remove the oil cap.

STEP 2:

The S55 engine cover is held in place by 4 male tabs. These 4 tabs are secured to the cover via 4 rubber mounts already on the underside engine cover. After the oil cap is removed simply grasp the cover with one hand positioned on the front and the other on the rear. With light pressure pull the cover toward your body.

Step 3:

To install the new cover line up the 4 tabs and carefully apply pressure on the top of the engine cover. The tabs will click into place.

Step 4:

Install the oil cap.
