Yeah, OK...

The plus points:
  • Much less road noise
  • Better grip - more so on uneven surfaces or where you get a surface camber or road join (rubber ridge)
  • Much improved feel in the wet
  • MUCH smoother ride

The negative points:
  • You can feel the tire wall flex under heavy load when cornering or hard accelaration out of a junction - used to it now though, you get no less grip you just feel the rear end step out everso slightly when you boot it. I am running circa 340BHP map though..
  • You loose a 'little' bit of the steering directness (again due to slight tyre wall give)
Summary - If I was haulin arse round the Ring in the dry all day I'd stick with the RFT's to be honest (for the feel) on the near perfect surface - for every other eventuality I'd go for the Eagle F1's any day. They just handle our roads better.
