i don't know if my issue is the same as everyone else's. i don't just lose the bass. i lose everything except the front, center speaker. everything sounds like i'm on a phone call. this seems like a software issue to me. but i may be wrong. i don't get crackling or any other unwanted noise. my mids and subwoofer speakers just quit. sometimes they come back in a few seconds, sometimes they don't come back until i turn off the car, lock it and come back at least 20 minutes later.

These sound like possible heat issues too. Like the amp or other component(s) are becoming too hot and the heat protection kicks in by shutting things down to 'cool' things off.
