I've had top level Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone and Continental max performance summer tires on my 535i over the last 7 years. I now have both the 535i and the 640i GC running on Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT runflats, and I am absolutely in love with them. And I have to say, particularly since the 5 is lowered an inch, I wouldn't switch to non-runflats because IMHO the stiffer sidewall offers a bit more rim protection from the godawful potholes.
