Is the 50i really a different engine from The M50i?
Wondering how different these engines really are. The latter is just 70 or so HP more. When you look at what some of the tuning chips can do — I saw one posted in this forum that gets another 80+ hp out of the current 60i engine — and I wonder if I’m fact the upcoming M version is really nothing more than software tuning on the same or nearly identical hardware.
Anyone know what the difference is between these engines? And might it be easy enough for those of us who bought the 50i to “upgrade” our engines to almost identical to the upcoming M version?
