The higher the RPM the more air the engine consumes to the more air the turbo needs to compress. A larger and more efficient FMIC helps because the turbos don't have to work as hard as a good FMIC will have a lower pressure drop across it then the crappy stocker.

Thats what I figured, I mean the turbo being to small anyway. I know FMICs help hold pressure better, but I didnt know if a FMIC would actually benefit up top if the turbo is too small to hold boost in the higher RPMs.

So from your experience Mike, do you think if the OP put a much better FMIC that he would be able to break in to the 11s? I would assume he would, if not because he was able to hold boost longer, but because the front mount made the turbo a little more efficent overall.
