I don’t think my car has those tamper proof rings. I’ll have to double check.
That said I personally wouldn’t max out the adjustment rings in fear of preload / earlier bottoming out. Most coils perform the best in the middle of the adjustment range from experience.
Have you tried playing with compression and rebound ?
