This morning CarPlay would not connect. In fact a call came in while driving and it was on the phone only, not through the car. However, when I selected "connection mode...BMW iDrive" vs CarPlay....it connected right away. Stopped at Starbucks and when I got back in phone was still connected via BMW iDrive. I selected CarPlay and it connected.
