Let's not group all auto companies together in terms of reliability. The fact is that there will be issues/complaints with all cars but what separates the wheat from the chaff is the number of complaints per 100 car owners. Just like factory rejects, the fewer, the more efficient the manufacturer. Research has shown every year that Toyota/Lexus, etc are way ahead of the pack. The European car makers need to improve. I sympathize with Bhangu, he has passed through a painful experience. I am probably very lucky as I own the same 2014 X5 and I have experienced zero repair issues in over 5 years
