I have the same problem with mine when the cable is cold and stiff. In my case, it's because the aux jack is
very slightly loose and it causes the connection to cut in and out. I solved it by a) waiting for warm weather or b) leaving my iPod in the cupholder instead of tucking it into the pouch.
As long as the cable isn't getting moved around when it's stiff, everything is A-OK. For me, it's not worth the trouble of getting my console torn apart to fix the jack. That may change the more winters I have to put up with, though.
Of course, I have no idea why I need an aux jack in the first place. My Alpine deck in my Miata just has the USB-to-iPod jack connection.
