Sorry I didn't notice this was a UK regional forum, I came across this thread with a search so I replied to it.
Not sure why this would be a US only recall (would they use different bolts for engines in UK?) In any case, a call to your local BMW dealership should clear things out for you. Better safe than sorry, I guess, and all it takes is a phone call.
