Would squish the 2nd row right side passenger. And the press releases talk about safety restraint features for it, but I'm not sure how the passenger wouldn't shoot straight out, under the seatbelt, if in a crash.

I tried it today. It's awesome. 2nd row leg room gets bad when you use it. They had to work on the restraint and airbag to make this work in case of a collision. My entire body felt relaxed. Spine; neck, shoulders loved it. They think it can go into production relatively soon: Maybe in the next 7er and maybe the x7 Lci (8/22).
Driver side can get it when cars are more autonomous.
