I agree that the woodgrain looks fugly in these cars.
I went with alum hex because I never had it before and had the brushed alum in my old car so took a chance, knowing I can replace it easily if I didn't like it.
Im gonna say you cant go wrong with either alum trim.

Has looked good on my cars with black leather. All my BmWs have been silver and black though
