I'm almost positive 11/2019.55 is the latest iDrive version, at least for 2019 models (which is what I own). And to my knowledge this update includes everything related to iDrive and how mobile phones connect to the system. Map updates can be downloaded directly but iDrive can only be updated at the shop. So if a X7 you're considering is not at least at iDrive 11/2019.55, tell the salesman you will not take delivery until it is updated.
