I just took delivery today and my car came with 11-2019.50 from the factory. I was told that the X7 had the most up to date software from the factory (Jan 2020 build), which I took with a grain of salt. I am still finding my way around the X7 so unless I discover any "glitches", I won't bother with asking for a software update until my first dealer oil change. The navigation base maps that came with the X7 were North America Live 2019-3, which was a bit disappointing (I would have expected at least 2019-4), so I need to check the fine print regarding dealer base map updates (if they are free or not)...

Edit: On a positive note regarding the navigation maps, I received 2 regional map updates in the course of a few hours after I took delivery. My regional maps are at 2020-1 now. I am sure this is not news to some X7 (or G-series) owners, but the BMW Connected web site is not very clear about how the navigation map updates work IMO. While it does state that the navigation maps will update over the air (OTA) up to 4 times a year, which implies they are referring to the base maps which are updated quarterly, the site did not really explain the difference between regional vs base map updates. Time will tell I guess...
