On our 2018 X5, I have my V1 hardwired with the V1 Direct-Wire Power Adapter that has a jack for connecting the V1 with a cable with RJ11 connectors and another jack for connecting the V1 Connection module. I then use the V1 Driver app (which connects to the V1 Connection via Bluetooth from my iPhone). This app has the ability to serve as a Savvy emulator and can also be used to lock out known stationary falses (such as door openers, etc.).
I also had to turn off the laser detection due to interference from the vehicle.
My F90 M5 is due the first part of July, and I plan to use the same setup on it.
