You can pull out the rubber linger and you'll see 4 holes in the bottom of that cubby. Fish the wire along the console. The panel under the dash comes down with two THUMB screws and a snap on the center hump (transmission tunnel, call it what you will). LOL.
I passed the wire using a cloths hanger to fish down to beside the seat.

PS on the side of the dash is a panel where usually a fuse box is on all my Audi's but that panel I could not get off> Did not want to break it so I just tucked the wire under the weather striping.
