Here is a link for different solutions. For my wife's X7, we installed studded Snow tires. It has worked well. We have done road trips from tip of Washington state to San Diego Cali. From snow and ice to nice and sunny, the drive was very nice and safe. We also get light snow and ice where we live. It has worked well for us.
