Weight yes but not weight + lateral G's + HP combo. Even those hoosier slicks are for a lighter car.
You'll need a 35 series to be safe running at high speed corning. Main issue is the higher RPM's the smaller tire turns creates heat and you don't want excess heat in a tire with load on it.
Take some time a pick the right tire combo.

Please provide a link to your source of information. I'm always interested in safety. So far so good after 5 track days on these tires with speeds up to 155 MPH, actually less because of the smaller diameter. Pressure rise from heat seems normal. Thanks
