Ever tried to give a 2 or 3 year old an iPad and keep them focused on it? Ends up being more work crawling back there. Play a movie and it'll take 25 seconds before they click the wrong button and are screaming to get the movie back.... Control from the front is clutch |
FWIW, there is a feature in iOS called Switch Control that allows remote control of one iOS device by another iOS device. The catch is, all devices must be on the same WiFi network. Which means, you would most likely need the in-car WiFi to use this feature or possibly if one device is "tethered" to the other. Definitely not as integrated a solution as RSE, but an alternate solution nonetheless.
