My wife has actually complained multiple times about this. It is actually quite dangerous when you are trying to enter a busy roundabout or trying to merge onto a busy road. I don't really think it should be necessary to predict that the car is not going to respond in these situations. Hopefully a software update for the ECU can overcome this.
