For bootmod3 you need obd to Ethernet cable. Weather or not you're going to connect to laptop or use the wireless raspberry pi. To add if you opt to the raspberry pi device you will need a mobile hotspot in order for the unit to talk to the servers.
The unit needs a usb power supply (can connect to car to power)
When you pay for one bootmod3 license it comes with 1 free tune. There are a couple of stage zero for free but upgraded ones need to be purchased. You can get all the tunes for the platform for an additional 100$.
