Cool, hitting the Sport button is the best solution and kills two birds with one stone.
The auto stop start function is only required of cars that miss federal miles per gallon standards; I lease my son’s a Honda Civic and it doesn’t have any auto stop start at all. There are people who code, they can plug into your car for 20 minutes and turn on and off such features, I do that with my 4 Series, but with the X7 the location of the button makes it really easy to just tap start then sport and be done with it.
