It's all bs trust me, I just got all season tires not too long ago, all of November I was driving to PA from NYC when it was below 30, drove it through rain which was fine too, it did suck in the snow, I had 0 traction in the snow which was kind of scary but I got through it. I think the below 40 crap is a myth.
