This is how BMW tech works. They want to look like they are forward thinking and then they will take tech features away 3 years later arbitrarily that actually worked.
My last 2019 G05 X5 could have its doors open with Samsung Galaxy phone using the digital key option. That is not possible now even when the technology hardware worked, BMW removed the feature. So even when you have digital options working when you leave the dealership, BMW can/will remove them without any $$ compensation. All this after being their free beta tester.
