I test drove a 2022 850i GC yesterday and before the drive I was checking numbers, etc., on the cusp of pulling the trigger. But when I got to the dealer they presented the car to me with at least a week’s worth of dirt and dust on it and there was even a small scratch on the rear passenger door.
I drove it and loved the power. Holy crap! That thing was like a sling shot, but not anywhere near as quick or as agile as that M5 Comp that I drove. I was so disenchanted by the filthy car that I returned it to the dealer and left. Who presents a $110,00.00 car to a customer in that state? Even if I had decided that that was THE car, I would not have bought it from them.
Anyhow. So then I thought I’d research the E63S. I read several reviews and comparos and was intrigued by the bad Benz but in the end I decided that it was just too pedestrian, practically ugly.
The M5 is a decided step down in the looks department from the 6 GC, but I am swayed by the ballistic performance.
That said, given the insane used car values due to the Covid crap and chip shortage, I’ve decided to wait until at least July 2022 and find a low mileage 2021 M5 Comp and by it at a steep discount.

Why not mod the 6 to M5 power? It isn't hard or that expensive. I'm way over 600 hp crank.
