PSS are a lot quieter than Star Specs in the first place, and they'll stay quiet, except at the limit they squeal like you're killing them compared to Star Specs' nice chirping kind of squeal.
PSS also have a nicer ride than Star Specs and they're awesome in rain. And they'll last much longer than Star Specs, probably twice as long doing street plus light autocross.
OTOH Star Specs have a firmer and more responsive feel especially at the limit, and they have better grip when they get hot on track, whereas PSS get greasy if they get hot enough.
