I used all 7 quarts supplied in the kit that United BMW Dan carries. No problems. DIY calls for 6.9 quarts, figure I'd lost about a tenth with residual left from each bottle.
***If you're considering a DIY oil change, read through the oil change threads...bump for fabricating something to deflect the draining oil. Plus get a wide drain pan, use gloves. It's HOT!!! Fortunately synthetic cleans up easily :biggrin:****
