I should also add that according to the latest Roundel, the new software will also include Web Radio, and that this plus the Twitter/Facebook will only be for the I-Phone. As with E-mail and Text messages, there will be limited functionality on the Twitter/Facebook when the car is in motion. Personally, I agree with Snowles and wouldn't have any use for this even if I did have it. (other than Web radio.....but with the choice of media now, doubt this would add anything) I guess you could say that I'm not really in the demographic that BMW is targeting for this new social interactive media.
