I don't like the bit about the V8 having turbo lag -- BMW makes a great fuss in their technical literature about how they have virtually eliminated it. I hope the vehicle you drove was an anomaly or I'll be thinking twice about going with the V8.
Could you give an assessment of comfort? In other words, how does the suspension compare with a regular X5 and/or an X5 with sport package?
