That weight saving was done my means of simply trimming down to the max the existing chassis, the base frame was still identical to the normal M3, the difference in weight was done by lighter doors, seats, back seats were lighter, plastic rear window, various suspension components, and a lot of other small things that got the car to that point. 400 pounds in weight saving is huge.. and if it was possible then, i see no reason why i couldn't be done now.. especially with all the new materials that we have at our disposal.
Stop quoting BS numbers. Even official BMW numbers put it at 240 pounds.
