I had shuddering under braking last year. I took it into my local STS for a free brake test & discovered my front right brake was out of balance.
I tried to re bed them but that made no difference so I changed the front discs & they've been fine since.
I was told that if you do high speed braking down to a stop not to hold the car on the brakes as this can cause heat sink in the discs leaving deposits or can 'distort' the discs.
Find a STS/Kwikfit etc that does free brake tests & take it from there.
