That's a big and very important question. BMW is certainly going to jack up the price as much as they think the market can support. They're going to call it an "M50i", to make it a pseudo-M model, but it will NOT be an X7M. I doubt they're even going to add many more features to it, beyond what a 2nd year model would normally do. So really, the only change will be the more powerful engine, and you're pretty much going to be paying any extra money just for the extra power.

The X7 50i base model already stars almost $20,000 more than the 40i. How much more of a gap can you really create, without making the 50i model a purely boutique vehicle for the rich?

What I'm fearing is that they jack up the 50i by maybe $4,000 and then do the same to the 40i to keep the gap the same, with little to no new features. It's just too much.
