I haven't had a chance to use it yet out of the city. Based on couple of tries in the city, I do agree that I wouldn't be turning it on to stare at the partially filled screen, however I frequently drive at night in the cottage country and having animal / people warnings pop-up on head-up display is what I got it for. Will get a chance to test in a couple of weeks. |
Sounds like it's going to be a good addition for you regardless of what was mentioned. If you're on another screen (i.e., navigation), does it automatically turn on if an animal for example comes into view? |
You get the warnings in the HUD. If you change the screen back to nav the NV is gone. Worse yet, if you change the radio or make a phone call the NV does not come back up on the screen. Really a poor design.
