Just stick with BimmerGeeks cable, it's faster and more reliable. Those cheap Chinese cables are very dodgy, most likely you'll have to go through a couple of them to find a good one, I got 3 of them here, 2 don't work and 1 works fine. I don't use them anymore, I have a BimmerGeeks cable for peace of mind and I also got an ICOM cable for flashing iDrives and DME... etc.

There's actually a bug in the firmware of those cheap Chinese K+DCAN cables, where every second packet of data getting transmitted to the car gets lost, and it needs to be re-sent twice. This reduces the cable bandwidth and makes it slow, and also unreliable. I have bricked my DME before using one of those dodgy cables off eBay. Lucky an ICOM cable managed to flash it again from scratch and saved the day phewww!!

My advice is to buy the below linked cable, it's faster and it's more reliable due to having that data transmission bug sorted in the firmware, GL.
