Not sure if that's fair. The M235 was hyped as better faster than 1M back in the day and many bought without driving. I was honestly surprised how soft the car was myself. Well said, bmw is getting soft and is not just the 235...all F series are about the same. Its the direction bmw is going and we should already know when they changed their lineup with 20 different models and a upcoming fwd 1 series.

The M235i is still a nice car that'll fit alot of drivers.
