While there are of course third party options, this would be in reference to OEM solution so it can be done via the BMW Connected App, and compatible with the Display Key. I see in '21 it's finally standard, and for '19 people have said they believe it may only require a software update.

In the USA there was a option to upgrade to the drive recorder for a one time fee. I believe a remote start upgrade will be along soon as other countries are already offering this upgrade for a one time fee.
