I totally agree with you. I live up here in Canada (close to Toronto) and we also got inches, even feet, of snow. This was also my first winter with my BMW xi and man I could not be any happier. Days where my van got stuck, the bmw plowed through with no difficulty (even at crawling speeds).
I drove the car during a serious winter storm and was very calm and comfortable, making me focus more on the road ahead.

Were you driving with snow tires with that snow? I'd like to know how if anybody is confident driving the xi in the snow with just the stock 17 inch tires that will come with the car. I am a prospective buyer.
