Actually my car does not have the sports package, so I was driving on the 16" rims. I actually drove with the all season conti pro tires and was surprised at how they worked during the winter months. I figured that with the xi system, I should be ok with the all seasons. I will continue to drive with these in the winter till they need to be replaced. By then, I will most likely change over to winter tires as I am looking to keep these rims as my winter setup and have another set of rims dedicated for the summer months.
To sum it up, I was very confident with my all seasons on my 16" rims in the winter. I wonder what the experience is with just winter tires only. Must be amazing
