Thanks for sharing your experience. So those stock tires (run-flat tires) are not good for the trip to Tahoe?
Do NOT ever take summer tires into Tahoe. You will kill your self going through the overpass and may kill someone else along as well. Below 40 degrees, Summer tires lose the majority of tractions, and have absolutely no tractions in any hint of snow. Whatever you do, don't risk your life and other's on the road.
