I was just recently dinged too.. Not a ding exactly but more of a paint chip. If it was a ding I would have gotten it pulled but to fix the chip right, I would need to repaint the entire door which seems a little silly.
Anyway, my choice of wax is zaino.. Been using the stuff for years and I love it. I can't say if it makes your car shine more than other brands of wax but what I like about it is the fact that it is easy to apply and remove. It also lasts at least a couple of months before water stops beating on the paint.
